Sorry for two Q's in quick succession.

My usual mechanic has said its my "last year"  with this vehicle.

I had it as e demonstator since ~2007  and it has done very very good service so I  dont wish to give up so easily.

I ahve found another work shop that is prepared  to do welding but I think the onus is on me to get the parts.

In the first instance  we need a new front subframe and new rear leaf spring.

Im really on learning curve  for getting these parts , is there any one out there recommended  for the parts?

Its the old escort duratec engine which just carries on going.  (circa 110K now and its all do another 110 K IMHO)

because of the age of your Transit T200LX Registered year 2005 many of the parts that you require may not be available brand new.

Is your engine not the Diesel 1.8 Duratorq ?

You may have to use secondhand parts from vehicle dismantlers (scrapyards) or search online. For example this used Subframe:-
