Mk2.5 focus - have some parts people might want

Featured Replies

Aplogies if this type of post isn't allowed. Will remove if it is the case.

As per another post have a mk2.5 1.6 TDCi 2009 car that I am likely to scrap through the ULEZ scrappage scheme and thought some people here might be interested in a few bits. I live in west London not far from heathrow. (Oh and I am still very cross about the ULEZ zone and having to either pay £12.50 a day or buy overpriced newer car....grrr)

I put in a Sony 6CD DAB radio and DAB Ford ariel kit. (sadly not DAB+)  Also have the original fm radio too.

Also has a rubber ford boot mat - the official one. Have a nice story to tell about this.

A set of floor mats that I got a couple of years ago.

It also has some very good Michelin cross climate tyres but not sure if anything can be done with them as I do need them to scrap the car. One pair only done about 1000miles.  But had to change because they were only just legal and didn't want to chance it in winter. I never buy budget tyres - plus with costco deal they were £160 for the pair vs £120 for budget.

Hi some parts may help, we recently purchased a focus with few things missing.

some parts will be very useful. maybe i can PM you to see how much for any parts you may have?

Thanks

If you want to keep or sell the Cross Climates then just just buy a cheap set of undesirable wheels to swap onto the car to scrap it.

I bought a set of pre-facelift alloys for £40 to chuck on my 2008 Focus when I sold it as I wanted to keep the wheels & tyres.

That's a good idea about the wheels. 🙂

Might try that.

Where did you get those wheels from?

Struggling to find any for that price.

Gumtree.  But it was 6 years ago.

Also worth checking Facebook Marketplace.

Can use wheels from other Fords as long as they're 5 stud.

If you only need wheels to be able to scrap the car, how about just getting a couple of cheap space saver wheels?  Lots to be had on Gumtree and even eBay starting at £10 each

Scrapping the car with alloys meant I got more money than with steel wheels. Space saver are about £20/30 each, so that combined with the effort to swap the wheels etc it meant I would earn about £30.

Thanks for your advice though much appreciated.

Was hoping to swap the wheels with someone here but never mind. 🙂
