Mk4 / 4.5 front drivers window trim removal

Featured Replies

My front drivers window trim along the bottom has started to rattle in the centre when I close the door. Pressing it whilst closing the door stops the rattle.

Can these be removed easily with trim tools?

Hi, did you manage to take it off? I have a dent in my drivers chrome window trim on Focus mk4 2019 and I bought a replacement from a wrecked car but I struggle to understand the replacement process.. any help? do I need to remove the mirror first?

Update: it is actually very simple to remove it

1) you remove the mirror first (basically the same process as on the mk3/mk3.5 but even simpler, remove plastic with plastic tools and undo 3 torx screws that hold the mirror)

2) undo one torx screw right under the end of the trim (on the side near the back door)

3) carefully start to lift up the trim (wiggle and slightly pushing to the inside of car helps to release it from the door), starting from where the torx screw was, and thats about it.

hope it helps someone
