Mk2/2.5 focus centre display

Featured Replies

I know nothing about the Mk2/2.5 hence this question. A workmate has got themselves a 57 plate 1.6 focus (hence I'm unsure if it's a mk2 or 2.5) and I noticed today that the centre display (the orange one between the tacho and speedo) was on even tho the car was switched off easily 10 minutes earlier and locked.

Is this normal or what could the fault be. Its a high miler 109k miles. Unknown service history etc etc. Got it cheap from their partners workmate who wanted shut so for £200 it was a no brainer.

Yep, normal, it goes off eventually but I can't remember how much longer

Same as the 2010 Kuga, the display switches off at 20 minutes, the same time it turns off things like the power sockets (cigar lighter).

Interesting. I noticed this morning that the centre display was off but the cig lighter socket was on. A blue ring around the socket and I think a FM transmitter plugged into it. Thanks anyway.
