Ford c max limited transition function

Featured Replies

LI’m having  problem with my c max 2013.it’s doing the transmission limited function message - especially when freezing cold.
  • it happened in the morning the first time and turning the engine off and on again corrected it but this morning that didn’t work. It’s always when I’m driving- the car feels like it drops a gear and the revs sound really high then it loses all power and I have to stop.
Both times are early morning when the weather is below 0.
  • now when we star the car and change to drive the car starts shaking

Specs please

It could be that your battery voltage is low, which is exaggerated in cold weather.

Powershifts do not like low voltage, if your battery is over 5 years old, or you have no idea how old it is, put a new one on.

The transmission oil and filter should be changed on these every 3 years, 36,000 miles, if it hasn't been done, get that done too.

But sort the battery first

Thank you the battery is ok we check this and also we check all the electrical system which seams to work perfect as well.

we was advise that we need to change the transmission or the clutch witch is really expensive.

is it really possible to be from the oil and the filter?

Change the oil and filter first, it may cure it

You may think the battery is OK, but issues when cold is showing there's a problem.

Powershifts do not like low voltage, even after paying for a new clutch pack👍
