MK3 Rear License Plate Fittings

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I got some fittings (pictured) for 2012 Focus for Ford Performance Holders - previous owner had removed them and it's just adhesive at the moment. How are these originally fitted, just sealed in with something?

I want to replace the front too, those are just screws there? Can someone let me know what size?

If I take a plate off at the moment to check, I can't put it back on easily

Cheers!

They are called "Nutsert" or "Rivetnut"

You need a nutsert tool to fit them. Kind of like a 'pop rivet' you screw the sleeve on to the thread of the tool and insert it in to the hole. Squeeze the handle and it squashes up the nutsert. Then unscrew the tool, and the job is done and ready for you to fit a screw.

EXAMPLE ONLY (can't recommend Temu): https://www.temu.com/ul/kuiper/un9.htm
