Ford focus 2020 mk4 oil pump belt

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a ford focus 2020 Ecoboost 1.0 mk4 with approx. 23,000.  I've done a lot of research on the Ecoboost engine situation .

While the mk4 ecoboost engine has a camchain, I am worried that the wet belt for the oil pump may degrade before the recommended 10 year replacement interval or 144,000 miles.

Has any one had any problems with the more recent 1.0 ecoboost engines with the camchain/wet belt for oil pump?

Are there any signs I should look out for?

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Linda
