2014 Focus Zetec 1.0 Ecoboost

After clearing fault codes with Forscan, a hard fault U0046:88-2F is immediately present.  This is with just the ignition on.  If I start the car, after a few seconds, the battery light will illuminate and addition codes of U0120:08-6C Lost Communication with Starter Generator Control Module and P165D:00-6C Grill Shutter 'A' Control Circuit.

There is continuity between the LIN signal from the alternator to the 3 pin connector that feeds the shutter.

The U0046 fault is present with the alternator and shutter connectors unplugged. additionally also with the 2 pin BMS connector unplugged from the battery negative terminal.

Anyone any ideas?

    To close this off, the fault was with the plug that connects the single wire LIN signal to the alternator; it wasn't making proper connection.  Ford technical did say that water ingress into the shutter actuator and connectors was a common U0046 fault, but mine were OK.
