Ford Focus mk3.5 headlight to biXenon - not working

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!!!

I have Ford Focus mk3.5 (2018)

I bought original headlights for my mk3.5, but the high beams, or long lights, are not working. The parking lights, turn signals, and low beams are functional. My car is factory-equipped with minimal features, and the authorized service told me that I need an HCM (Headlight Control Module) and some additional components to enable all the features of these headlights.

However, as it is expensive, and I personally don't need all the extra features like lane tracking and cornering lights, I only want to have functional high beams and the ability to flash them. I would like to find an alternative way to activate the high beams.

My goal is to identify the pins on the headlight responsible for raising the xenon flap (high beams). I plan to connect these pins to my own connector and simply activate the function.

I need a pinout diagram for these headlights, or if someone has faced a similar situation, I would appreciate their assistance.

Thank you in advance.

You can not change factory fitted halogen headlights to Bi-Xenon headlights by simply changing the wiring.

In addition, trying to jury-rig the shutter and relying on just the HID lights for flash won't be satisfactory. HID lights have a relatively long warm-up time. For this reason Bi-Xenon lights are typically equipped with supplemental halogen high beam bulbs. You would need the full HID lighting control system module and wiring to make everything work.
