2017 focus st line battery draining

Featured Replies

I own a 2017 focus st line it's started to gradually lose charge but when jumped off is fine again for a week or so,  the alternator is charging I've had it checked,  also the key isn't getting picked up now and again too any ideas or has anyone experienced this thanks

How old is the battery ? If it is any more than 4 years old then it is at the end of it's life.

It has had a new one but not sure when as it's not original

Your car is 7 years old, so I'd expect that it due a new battery. They last a maximum of 4 years not like what they used to do.

Use a multimeter and measure the battery terminal voltage 1 hour after it has been parked. Check the State Of Charge on the table below.
