Focus mk4 Mhev 125cv to 155cv

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I was recently told by a ford engine worker that the turbo on the 125 mhev and 155mhev is the same. Because of this, I was looking into modifying the PCM via UCDS to switch to the 155mhev map.
Has anyone made this change with ucds? Forscan doesn't allow it.

You would need to ask this question on the UCDS Forum, but you probably can

But you need genuine UCDS license and genuine UCDS cable to do anything.

Chinese fakes will not work

I'd double check that the turbo is the same first.  When they first came out I read it was different.  No access to Mk4 parts catalogues to confirm though.

I've also seen reference to the 155 having a bigger turbo in the Fiesta, Puma and Focus MHEV. The MHEV system in theory eliminates any lag from the bigger turbo.

Point of interest - I've not seen anything on whether the Puma ST 170 has a bigger turbo still, or if it's just remapping which is probably more likely.

What I wanted to confirm is if the turbo part number for the 125mhev is the same as the 155mhev.

The issue of UCDS licenses is not a problem, I was thinking of getting a fdrs license as well in case ucds does not allow me to do so.

On the non mhev models the turbo is different between the 125cv and 155cv but on the mhev models the turbo is different and I have been told it is reinforced.

I am looking for spare parts and have found that the part number for the 155mhev is L1BG6K682AA. However, I can't find the turbo part number for the Focus 125mhev.
