Turbo 125mhev vs 155mhev

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a focus mk4 125mhev and from what I have been seeing the turbo is different on the 125mhev and 155mhev.

The turbo references are:

-L1BG6K682AA for the 155mhev.

-H6BG6K682AD for the 125 mhev.

This information is taken from Ford's own database after searching the VIN of two cars.

I was looking into it as I wanted to do the map change with ucds, but seeing as the turbo is different, I won't be able to.

Does anyone know if this is true? I had understood that the turbo of the mhev is different from the normal ones, but after having searched the Ford database, I have seen that the turbo of the 125 and 125mhev is the same.

If the Ford database says it's different then it must be.

The only option is to see if there is a remap available

There are a few about. Although this one from Pumaspeed is, appropriately, for the Puma, it also makes reference to the larger turbo on the 155MHEV:

Having researched and had access to the ford database, I can state that in the puma mhev, the engine is the same in both the 125hp and 155hp versions. On the focus this does not happen, so the only option I have is to go to a reprogrammer.
