vehicle not starting instantly

Featured Replies

Hi all, this is my first post but any help would be massively appreciated.  I own a 67 place 1.0 Eco boost Ford Focus titanium, car unlocks as normal, get into the vehicle, clutch down and press start stop button to start the vehicle.    Quite frequently not starting first time. Sometimes it is taking me 4-5 attempts. To rectify I normally need to press the unlock button on my fob whilst in the vehicle, and eventually the clutch down and start button starts the engine.

Can anybody offer any advice in terms of what might be causing this problem? / How I can rectify it?  Thanks in advance.

Check battery in key is good, check signal from key is not getting blocked, check main vehicle battery is in good condition, then see if stop/start switch is going down
