MPG display

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've just bought a Custom 100 and the display in the centre  near the clock reads miles the van has done and mpg. The problem  is when your driving the mpg display keeps changing every  second from 99.9mpg to 46.9 or as low as 9.4 or whatever.

Will this be a sensor problem  ?

That is correct 👍

No, it's the driver not understanding what the "instant" fuel use reading means.

Switch the reading to "Average" fuel if you want a more stable reading.

It shouldn't switch from one to another  in a millisecond,  I've never seen  this before  ever.

Yes it should.  That's the instant MPG.  It's dependent on engine load at that second.  It's an entirely useless feature.

Switch to the average MPG reading instead as above.  That one averages out the reading since it was last reset and should stay fairly steady.

How do you change it because  its a basic model  and I can't see a button  you usually  press to scroll through
