AC squeal Ford focus 1.0 ecoboost

Featured Replies

Whenever I turn my AC on, like the button not just the fans, I get a really high pitched squeal coming from either the air vents or behind the dash also the cold air stopped being crispy cold and more luke warm.

I was wondering if it was the blower motor but I'm struggling to find an aftermarket one, if anyone could help me with a compatibility for one or if you have any insight into what the problem might be I'd be really grateful.

Reg is CP15BLK

Sounds far more like the AC system needs regased,

For anyone reading this, the AC did in fact need regassing but after a month or so when I turn the AC a squeal / squeak like a belt or something sounds comes from behind the dash briefly 2-5 seconds

The AC system is intended to be left switched on. The gas contains a lubricant for the AC seals and also internal moving parts. If you are turning the system off then you run the risk of seals drying out and leaking and moving parts squeaking.
