hi chaps I,m thinking of buying a 1.5 diesel focus are there any horror stories about this engine like there is with 1ltr ecoboost

    If it's the 1.5tdci, only things to watch out for are the egr being coked up, and the dpf being clogged otherwise they are pretty bulletproof engines. If it's the 1.5eco blue, I believe they are the same as the tdci but also have an adblue system and as such are likely to have the same issues most other adblue systems have

    The EcoBlue engine is quite different to the Duratorq.  The whole cylinder head is different. 

    Also, confusingly, they don't all use Adblue.  

    Need to know what Mk and year you're looking at to specify which engine it'll be.

    Just bought a 2020 1.5 Ecoblue ST-Line X Auto but when I put fuel in I can't recall seeing the separate blue cap for the Adblue

    If it was built before August 17th 2020 it won't have Adblue.
