Has anyone on here used this oil? The container says it meets the spec for the Mk2 Focus 1.6 Petrol engine.

I have seen it for sale in Home Bargains for £5.99 per 1 litre bottle. That seems cheap compared to other fully synthetic types. My usual independent garage/MOT station charges £9 per litre for suitable Comma 5W-30 Full synthetic.

    If it meets the spec for your car then it's a no brainer. Get as many as you can and save the rest for the next oil change.

    £6 a litre isn't cheap for a full oil change.  The proper Castrol stuff is £30 for 5 litres which is also £6 a litre.

    What Castrol oil is that, and where do you buy it from?

    I have been using Halfords 5W-30 Semi-Synthetic since I have had the car. This was the cheapest I could find that met the Spec. That was £26.49 for 5 litres at the most recent change few weeks back.

    As the Mk2 1.6 petrol engine only takes approx 4l there is always some left over. I pour that into a spare 1l bottle and use it for occasional top-ups.
