Indicator problem

Featured Replies

Sorry to just jump in with a question as a newbie but I’m at my wits end I was driving my transit 85 on Friday when all of a sudden the indicators stopped working I have no hazards either I’ve checked every fuse I can find and pulled out every relay and put back but still nothing I’ve search everywhere for any other relays but cannot find anything the book doesn’t show where the position of the indicator relay is either so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. The stock is working on the flashers and the parking lights so don’t think it’s that.

P.s sorry for just jumping in like this.

The indicators & hazard lights are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) there are no fuses or relays.

Does the van have a towbar fitted ?

That’s just wired directly to right hand rear light

There must be some kind of interface module or else the Canbus would be acting up when a trailer is connected, and the indicators would be flashing at the wrong speed.

Oh dear !!!

That must be playing hell with the BCM. The indicators must have flashed differently when the trailer was connected.

You need to use FORScan and check to see if there are any DTC's logged.
