All changed from last post ,my daughter is now sorted but I want a cheap focus estate ideally for under £3k

As I only will do about 4k miles a year it will be petrol and I would prefer auto

Am I correct that the dreaded powershift box only came in 2010 so if I buy an auto before then it will be ok ?

    I'm not sure that anyone here would be daft enough to give you a guarantee that any 15 year old vehicle will be OK.

    I thought it was your daughter who needed the auto, Paul? 

    There are very few Focus estates under £3k for sale on AT anyway, searching for an auto just cuts the choice further.

    Any make of petrol estate which is Euro 4 or above seems to have jumped in price over the last few years.

    This is probably due to the fact that they are currently exempt from clean air zone charges.

    There were never that many around to start with as diesels always seemed more popular for estates.
