My car is a 2013 Mk3 Titanium x with sync 1 and DAB/satnav.

My audio system has failed and I've been told the ACM needs replacing (Volume stuck at 0 and no sound)

Having removed my module the part number is BM5T-18C815-XM.

Does it have to be a 100% like for like swap or are the last 2 letters not important?

    Last 2 letters need to start with X as a must. 
     

    Then you need preferably M or later, letters before M may work but not always guaranteed that older parts will be compatible.

    I've only really seen XM or XJ so will hold out for an XM code - seem to go over £120 on ebay though 😞
