Clunk after replacing suspension struts

Featured Replies

Had front top mounts, springs and struts replaced on my 2009 ford focus 1.6 petrol, got the car back, loads of clunking sounds over every little bump and loud grinding noise coming from the front caliper. Took it back, they said the spring wasn't fully aligned into the top mount and cleaned brake pads up, no grinding, no knocking or road noise.

However, i have noticed that there is a clunk after a couple mph when moving away and turning full lock left while moving. This only happens once though after the car has been sitting for a while. They also replaced a track rod end on the near side because the boot was split but I ddin't ask them to do this as i like to replace parts in pairs, not on just one side. Car hasn't been for alignment since.

The clunk is not the ABS test noise.

Any ideas what they could have done? Drop links are fine from what i can tell after pulling on them a bit, wishbones were replaced about 2 years ago aswell.
