Guy on FB posted the below screenshot with a ton of useful info being displayed on his sync3... Anyone know how he did it??! Anything to do with the hidden sync3 menu where you press/hold the ff buttons on the unit and steering wheel at the same time? 

It would only be possible by jailbreaking and modding.

Have you opened the hidden menu to see what's in it then?

What's the point of it apart from tarting up the startup screen? 

That would be an Android app running on screen mirroring.

You would need a wireless OBD reader plugged into the OBD port for this to work

And the Sync system cracked for screen mirroring

Bingo, we have a winner! Yup, bloke wrote again a offering it done if people wanted it... Summat in the obd port and some fiddling for 80 notes. Not for me if it's not summat oe in the system itself, but fair do. 

Not relevant now I guess cos I'm not getting it, but wonder if you'd actually need to crack it, whether it would just work under the android apps page like Google maps, etc. 

No, not unless you can find an app that supports Android Auto or Carplay, but I believe there isn't one, so you have to crack Sync for Android screen mirroring

You could buy one of those wireless carplay/AA adapters on Ebay, they're about £70.

They have screen mirroring built in

Then a bluetooth ELM327 dongle

Then the app, probably Torque Pro

Thanks, but can see it all on my phone using my obd reader and it's only 20 notes and completely customisable using Car Scanner app.
