Coolant

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a mk2 2010 Ford focus and I’m just wanting to top up my coolant and just wondering if I can just get a bottle of Halfords one and add it to the current one that’s in the car. I have had a look around the internet to see which coolant my car uses and it keeps throwing loads of different answers up. 🙈🙈

It says that one is yellow/green while the one I have is red. Does that matter?

Shame that would take too long to be delivered need it sooner. Would the Halfords one be sufficient if I matched up with my reg?

How much of a top up is it?  I only ever use water to top up.  Not worth opening a new bottle of coolant for.

Not a lot n does it need to be deionised water?

That would be best practice.  But I don't even bother with that.  Just use the bottle of drinking water that's been rattling around my glovebox for months.
