2017 Galaxy auto transmission oil confusion

Featured Replies

Hi newbie here. I've just got a 2017 Galaxy Titanium X TDCi 180 auto with powershift and, reading that correct and timely trans oil changes are critical, I was trying to source the correct fluid. The manual says Mercon LV WSS-M2C938-A but all the online references I can find for the 6DCT450 gearbox state WSS-M2C936-A. I'm not sure what the difference between the two specs is, or indeed whether my car actually has the 6DCT450 gearbox! Can anyone advise? Regards, John

The "Ford Model: Guiver" could use anything I can't find any reference to it 🤔

If the manual is stating Mercon LV WSS-M2C938-A then I would be using that.
