Query before potentially buying (2015-2018)

Hello everyone. 

We are looking at buying a car, we’re in no rush as per say so that’s why I’m using this time to get a bit of knowledge on the reliability of the Ford Focus between 2015-2018.

Is there anything to be particularly wary of buying one of these cars between the years stated above?

Anything I should particularly/specifically look at upon inspection? Understandably mileage can be an issue with used cars so is there anything I should be checking that’s been done within the service history? 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    After doing my research, seems like it’s unfortunately an issue that’s all too common, it’s a shame really as I really like the look of the focus. 
     

    Anything you would recommend? Even if a different brand etc.

    Focus 1.5 diesel is about the safest of all the engines of the age range.
