Focus MK4 front passenger window issue

Featured Replies

So once I had this bounce back issue with my window, I googled and found many solutions to the problem and it seemed to help to reset the window and it was fixed. However, just now, I had same problem again, after some tries it seemed that the issue is gone, however now it seems that the window doesn''t want to go down most of the time, if I leave it to be, it works once (going down) and the stops working. If I stop the window from going all the way down and then push one-touch up it will bounce back immediately, but then will fully close. Also it seems it is quite slow to settle in (when it goes up more and the moves an inch down to its normal closed possition). I am not sure what is the issue here and everytime I try to google I cannot find anything about it.

All the information you need on how to correctly reset the window bounce back can be found in your Ford Owners Handbook. It gives full detail on how to do it.

Please read what I have said in my original post. It is not a usual bounce back issue.

Then it would seem the window is tight and sticking in the guide channels. Use silicon spray in the channels and the edge of the window and run the glass up and down a few times.
