Rear Suspension

Featured Replies

Hi, I have just signed up to this forum.

I have a ford smax 2.0 tdci Titanium 2007. I also tow a twin wheel caravan. My question is, does anybody have a suggestions how to if at all possible to modify the rear suspension into self levelling. I have contacted my ford main dealer and they said as far as they know there is no main dealer kit available, not even heavy duty coil springs. I have seen after market heavy duty springs but not sure if they will be ok. Any ideas please?

Kind regards

Paul

Look at a motoring home forum, there are air-bag kits you can buy to fit under the springs/leafs of rear suspension to reduce sagging and stiffen them up.
