Wet Boot Carpet - Mk3 2014 / 64

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New poster here, and yes i have read pages and pages about this already - the usual failed sealant around the vents behind the bumper......i am yet to do that repair, due to the crap weather and available time.......

I have this morning simulated some rainfall using a hose, and notice a small gathering of water in this corner of the boot, rear driver side only..........

Additionally, i have also seen a recent thread about the gathering of water behind the panel next to the rear suspension turret.....heres my video taken a couple hours ago of the trapped water and how whacking it makes it come out!

As this is happening on my rear driver side only, i am still at a loss as to where the water is actually getting in.

Whats the advice for the best things to seal up to stop the water getting into that panel and also pooling in that corner - i have some Tiger Seal......so just need to know the best places to do, and how.

Thanks
