Help removing mat securing studs in mk4 focus

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the mat securing studs that are embedded in the carpet in the passenger's foot well? I've just received a replacement set (genuine Ford from Ford store) and only the driver's side mat has the circular clips fitted and not the passenger's side one (so needs to have the existing passenger's side securing studs removed).

Update: I managed to unclip them (after a bit of faffing around). They clip into the carpet, through a couple of cut-out slots, and I managed to unclip them using the tool shown by pushing the short end under the front of the disc and then using the tool like a crowbar to unclip it.
