Steering problem

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem when turning the steering from left to right  it makes a knocking/Clunking noise when its at ful lock and on return to the right... when we got the car it had lowered suspension   I have been told it could be the steering rack.. shockers.. springs but on reading up on the steering wheel which is an electronic one that if replaced it will need coding  any advice is appreciated as a lot of people say it's   not usually the steering rack

    Have you visually checked the springs if one of them is broken?

    CV joint ? - get someone to look at the rubber gaiter on the end of the drive shaft - they can split and dirt and filth can get in and make nasty noises
