Diesel leak smell

Hi all 

This morning after doing the school run and bragging to myself how mechanically sound my car currently is, the Mrs and me smelled a strong petrol/diesel smell. Obviously I assumed it was from one of the other bangers on the school run but as we neared Asda the smell got stronger, and Mrs opened the window and it can only be described as an aggravated assault on the senses.

Got to Asda, opened up the bonnet, and injector 2 is covered in diesel, the leak off pipe has seemingly gone brittle and split in several places, deciding today it would ***** diesel all over the place. Annoyingly, the leak off pipes are just over a year old...

New parts on the way, but on to my next problem...

THE SMELL

How oh how can I get the smell out of the cabin, I'll be very grateful for any pointers. I replaced the small split pipe piece with a spare so the leak is now "bodged", but the smell persists...

    the cars got a lot to answer for its about to have trailing arm bushes for mot as well 🫠 probably changed it about a year or so ago
