Hi, I've got a really annoying rattle in my Mk4 Focus. At first I thought it was something in my glove box but I've now emptied it and it's still rattling. Is there anything that's known to come loose and rattle in the glove box area of the dash?

I too have an annoying vibration/rattle on the passenger side, I haven't found where it's coming from, might be worth opening the glove box, to see if it still rattles?

The glovebox can be removed fairly easily on the Mk4.

Thanks, I'll have a go at taking that out later in case the lamp cable (or something similar) is clattering against the box.

It would be good to know if it works.

I've just taken the glovebox out and found that the light unit attached to the top was not clipped in and was free to rattle against the top of the box  - I'm guessing it unclipped at my last service when they replaced the cabin filter, so I've clipped it all together and fingers crossed

Yep - just taken it for a little test-drive and no more rattle 😀
