Ok. So I have an st3 mk3.5 and I hate the stereo system it has!
No apps, just radio and navigation. I can Bluetooth from my phone but it’s a pain in the derrière!!
I can’t find out what ‘sync’ it is but what does come up in searches is ‘myFord touch’ (So I guess it isn’t a sync!) 

I've searched to see whether I can upgrade and I’ve seen users on here with detailed ‘how to’ posts but I need to know whether I can upgrade before purchasing. 
I’ve added photos of what I have at present (which looks like the sync controls?) **excuse the fingerprinted screen

Please help, I’m a dumba$$

• Can I swap my Ford touch>sync2/3?

• What do I need? (if the control panel is the same surely I don’t need to buy it all)

• Please don’t shoot me down, female trying to ‘do stuff’ to her already modified car 😊

    That's Sync2.

    It can be upgraded to Sync3 but you would need to replace the APIM module.

    The clue is in the name 🤣      ....and as Tom has said it is Sync2.
