Connect bluetooth transmitter to Sync 4

Has anyone had any luck connecting a non-phone device such as a bluetooth transmitter to Sync 4 as in the MK4.5 Focus? Even when I go into "discover other devices" the car doesn't pick up the bluetooth transmitter while it is in pairing mode. The transmitter has no issue connecting to any other device I've tried it to (other car, PC, phones, etc).

    Yeah, like one of these things, so I can transmit bluetooth audio from devices that don't have bluetooth built in. Basically it should show up as a BT device and pair with anything that is able to discover BT devices and so far it works on everything except Sync 4

    Ah ok. I wasn’t sure what type of device you meant. Sync must only shown phone type devices and this probably identifies as audio.
