Water collecting in large boot compartment - Ford MK 3

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Really need help and I wonder if someone can advise - this large cavity in the boot is now full of water. See clip of this video on YouTube that has exactly the same issue as me. Nowhere else on the internet including the forums have address this specific water leak as I am aware there are many different issues of water leaks in general in the boot from M3 .

Unfortunately no further details on how to fix this was shown. I have removed rear bumper and resealed the air-vents as well as the lozenger-shaped grommets, and I have checked the leaks coming from roof and window, but no water ingress there. I suspect it will be coming from rear lights where the bolt meets the hole - but not sure. Any thoughts would be much appreciated ? Thanks

Personally I didn't have leaks on my Focus but fixed 2 fiestas. One air wents and those oval shape holes. And second one joints on the roof to the boot, it wasn't any visible damaged but after sealing joints with tiger seal no more leaks.

On that video, could it be coming through the top mount of shock absorber?
