Focus rear door weatherstrip

Featured Replies

Has anyone had problems with the rubber weather strip on the Focus rear doors. They keep coming off at the bottom. Any tips to reseal them.

Everyone has had problems with the weather strip falling off, it's totally normal 👍

Use Evo-stik impact adhesive to fix them back on. Make sure you clean the rubber and the door with IPA first.

I'll second this, just had to do 3 of my doors and used Evo-stik, as I'd done the drivers side about 5 years ago with Evo-stik and it's still fixed solid. The amount of Focus's you see with the weather strip flapping about is crazy. 😂

I used some 3m but the mother in law kept kicking it off when she got out so got some brush on super glue from the range and now stuck solid 😂

Tiger seal, gorilla glue, all does the job well. Damn seals have always been an issue on the mk3, happily an easy fix 🙄

Well it looks like the suggestions are falling on deaf ears 🤔

Think positive, maybe they have been a long term reader and just can't be bothered to login!? 🙄

I had this problem, 2 months after I bought the car 4yrs ago. I wiped the door and seal to make sure was clean and used standard superglue. Theyre still on.

Did Ford use some kiddy swallow safe PVA glue on these or what?

Didn't your mother-in-law mind you sticking her solid with EvoStick?? 😂
