Automatic transmission oil change

Hey guys, ive bought a second hand Focus ST line 2.0 diesel. The car has 147xxx km. I would like to change an oil in automatic transmission. But some are saying that model doesnt need an oil change and others are saying it does. What is really disturbing, that 1 liter of that oil costs 81 pounds :S...so for 8 liters of oil i need to give 650 pounds?!  Are they mad?? Any info on that...

btw the oil specs are WSS-M2C949-A

    It's Mercon LV and the equivalent can be bought on ONbuy for about £8 per litre

    You can only do a drain and refill, should be about 5-6 litres and around 50% will stay in the system

    If you want it even cleaner, you could run 500 miles then drain and refill again

    Dave isnt maybe ULV? It says B-ULV on front side of package

    Most aftermarket LV also meet ULV

    There should be a sticker on the transmission saying what should be fitted.

    So I can basically buy any oil that meets the Mercon oil specifications? Like Ravenol for example? or it HAS TO BE Mercon?
