Focus Mk 3.5 1.5 EcoBoost (180ps) High Mileage Checks

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I have a 64 reg Focus hatchback with 102k on the clock and I'm pondering on whether to invest some money in to it replacing things like aux drive belts, timing belts, clutch (and DMF) etc. to keep it running for a long while yet.

Most of the miles are motorway (60k+) and the engine feels as sweet as I first drove it, but I've read a few forums (e.g.

) and wonder if there are any engine checks I could get done somewhere to assess where the engines at (and whether it has any of these hidden issues) and see if it's worth investing in for the next 50k+ miles or so?

Advice and thoughts welcome!

Thanks in advance 😀
