Focus 3.5 Door module issues

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Focus Titanium Mk3.5, 2015.

I have problems with the drivers door as follows:

  1. Power fold mirror no longer works after a period of intermittent working.
  2. Central locking often takes 2-3 tries before it works. The power fold mirror on the passenger side starts to open, then closes. Usually after a few goes it will open fully and all doors are unlocked. Locks 1st time every time.  (Drivers power fold mirror never works, I just leave it open.) Sometimes the drivers door will not unlock and I have to open it from the inside.
  3. The mirror glass on the drivers mirror is sometimes out of place after unlocking the car. I can only move the mirror glass by locking the car using the central locking button on the driver's door.
  4. The front windows, although they always have power,  they often need re-setting. ie They don't fully open with a long press. Like a battery has been disconnected.

The puddle lights and indicators are working. I've removed the door trim and all connections look good.

I suspect the drivers door module and I've sourced a unit from Ebay.

I'm worried a replacement will need programming and I'm not sure how to do this.  Can this be done through the fuse box?

I can live with the issues I have. As long as I don't need to make a fast get away. I'm not sure its worth heading down a possibly costly route or putting up with it.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It could be door module, it will be plug and play, as long as it's exactly the same part number (last letter can be higher)

It could also be a broken wire in the door harness to body harness connector
