Ford Focus completely dead (Until jump started)

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Ford Focus 1.6 ecoboost petrol. This morning I tried to unlock the car and the key fob didn't work, assumed at first it was the key battery but the spare didn't work either. Eventually got in using the manual key but the car was completely dead. Started fine using jump leads and stopped and started again with no issues. The battery seems fine but went to start it again tonight and it's completely dead. I don't think it's the battery as it started straight away after only running for a few seconds and then switching off. Could it be an immobiliser issue? Any ideas?

Not the immobilizer issue, if it starts with the jump.

Check the 50 Amp fuse in front of the battery box, it may be cracking or a bad connection there

Have you measured the SOC ?
