Linzi82
Hi first time posting on this site, hoping can I explain the problem well enough. So my car has recently started not starting. The key will turn in the ignition to the first position and second but when I go to start it the key feels like something is stopping it from turning and won’t start. I make sure the steering wheel lock is fully off, I’ve replaced the battery in the key and have also replaced the cluster fuse but still have the problem any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated
TomsFocus
If the key physically won't turn to start position then it sounds like the key barrel is faulty. Perhaps the spring inside has broken. You can buy barrel repair kits to build up to the same code as your key blade.

Just to add to this sometimes it starts fine, others after a few attempts
TomsFocus
I'm doubting whether the spring is in the barrel or in the switch now. If it's in the switch, that's very easy to change as its not coded to the key at all. First one on eBay - please double check compatibility if you decide to buy one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352839331111?
