Oil light slow to turn off after start up

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I have an issue with my Ford focus ecoboost 1L 2012, recently serviced by ford, they mentioned nothing is wrong with the car and already checked oil level so I know the issue is not low oil level.

Issue is whenever I start up the car it takes between 10 to 15 seconds for the oil light to turn off. Make a weird noise as well but goes away when the light turns off.

Hoping someone may be able to help with this..

Be prepared to say goodbye to your engine very shortly 🙁

Was the wet belt changed 2 years ago?

Sounds like it’s blocking the pickup and usually too late for the engine especially if you are getting other noises.

Lots of info and other threads on here if you search wet belt unfortunately.
