What’s the reliability like on the 8v lump in these? Prone to DPF trouble or are they decent? So far I’ve heard they can give gearbox trouble if the diff oil seal packs up but I suppose that’s easy to spot.

    DPF's are fine, coated without need for fuel additive or a vaporiser. 

    Injectors are sh*t.

    Haven't heard about diff oil leaks.  Usually the input shaft bearing that fails on this gearbox.  Nothing to see externally but sounds like an old washing machine.
