All o2 sensor locations on 2015 Ford Focus Titanium

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling to fix my 2015 Ford Focus Titanium. I have the check engine light on, and the ODM is reading Bank 1 Sensor 1 with poor readings, and Bank 2 Sensor 1 with poor readings also. The readings are jumping below the minimum threshold, but also not holding steady at all. I figured I will change the o2 sensors myself to save some money, so does anyone know where to find them on a Ford Focus Titanium Facelift engine? All videos I've seen show the location on the non facelift models. I have changed spark plugs, air filter and checked air filter hose for a vacuum leak and there has been no change, I have run Cataclean through the system as well. Symptoms are as follows: unburnt fuel smell from exhaust, rough idle, struggling to accelerate, check engine light on. Any help is much appreciated, and explain it to me like I'm stupid as I'm new to fixing up motors myself lol

There is no bank 2, that's for "V" engines

Should be Bank1, sensor 1 is pre cat

Bank 1 sensor 2 is post cat

I have plugged a diagnostic tool into my car and it is showing Bank 1 Sensor 1 reading is bad, and Bank 2 Sensor 1 reading is bad. I'm only going off what the diagnostic tool is telling me, and it's saying I have 4 o2 sensors in total on my car

Unless you have two catalysts I'm lost

If it's a 1.6 Ti-VCT then it'll use two catalytic converters side by side.  Each cat has a pre & post sensor.

Yeah, it has a left and right cat, two cats, each with two sensors totalling 4 sensors. The issue im having is locating the sensors as all the videos I've seen, the upstream sensors are on the engine block at the back, but my car doesn't have that. I've had the downstream sensors changed already, it's both Sensor 1 I'm trying to find

The sensors are right on top of each cat.  Really awkward to access.
