Acceleration problem

Hi to all,I've just joined the club and have a question about a problem that I have with my s max 2.0 tdci titanium.

When trying to accelerate it seems like you have to wait for the acceleration to catch up to the movement of the pedal and only goes up to about 70mph I have an engine management light on but I have plugged my reader in and not getting any codes,any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The Fault Code will be a Ford specific one that your Generic Reader is not picking up, you need to get set up with FORScan or an expensive Code Reader to read code.

    As @Tizer has said above, you won't read Ford specific DTC's with a generic code reader. Use FORScan.
