Phone won't pair with Bluetooth

Hi I've just bought a 10 plate focus, the phone and car find each other but no code is displayed to bond, tried the usual 0000 1234 etc but doesn't work. Any suggestions please

    Have you cleared out all previously bonded phones from the cars memory ?

    Can you try bonding a different make of phone/model ?

    As above.

    Just to add, early Ford bluetooth systems don't like iPhones

    Make sure all previously bonded phones are deleted

    Search for the car with the phone, not the phone with the car, it should display the bonding code on the head unit
