Hi guys new to the forum and this is my first transit custom.

After a week of owning my custom the side door stopped opening from the outside. Being a pleb I opened it from the inside and messed about with it and ended up turning on what I now know to be the child safety half turn thing.

So now I obviously can't open it from the inside or outside 😔 

I have taken the ply door lining and can see all the cables and door lock and all looks intact so I presume it's the actuator.

My question is is how the hell do I open the door so that I can turn the child lock off and then get to the fixing bolts that hold the lock in place.

Not sure if will be the same on your mod, I had this on my 2020 , turned out to be the door contacts needed cleaned, symptoms were horn tooted when locked van, and couldn't then get inside , I found pressing the interior handle and then doing the outside handle allowed me in, for whatever reason the door seems to stick, haven't had the issue since regularly wiping the contacts on both the door and pillar

I have no idea what to do next, I can hear something happening at the actuator when I unlock with the fob but both inside and outside handles do nothing.

I've tried the pushing on the door lock from outside while using the fob but still nothing.
