2016 Focus ecoboost preservation tips and new owner advise.

Featured Replies

Hiya, I just bought my first car. A second hand Ford focus ecoboost with 45,000 miles. Is there any advice on how to prevent potential issues and when I should be servicing it. My aim is to keep the car for as long as possible but I am new to cars and owning one.

An help would be appreciated.

Thank you

If it's a 1.0 Ecoboost then ensure the oil is changed, very frequently, using the correct oil.

Never use flush.

Next year, one year early, budget to have the belts changed, currently around £1800.

If you want to keep the car, don't have it done at a back street garage, just pay the price and get it done properly.

Then keep changing the oil often
