Focus mk2 1.6 115hp injector stuck open

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I’m having problems with my Focus (2005 mk2). It was sitting unused for a few months and when I started driving it again it was fine for the first 100 or so miles then started running rough and engine light came on. The engine’s running rich and misfires on cylinder 2… as far as I can work out the injector is stuck open, so looking to replace it. Now wondering whether to just replace that injector or buy a (second hand) fuel rail with injectors and replace the lot? Any thoughts on that?

Also mine is the 115hp engine - is there any difference to the fuel rail/injectors between the 100hp and 115hp engines? And anything I need to know when doing it? Think I read somewhere to replace some of the o rings?

Thanks!
