turn off oil pressure warning on

Featured Replies

is there a way to disable it????

Ford Focus 1.0 96 plate. just gone in local garage. Been toe oil pump belt gone and looking at total strip down and could still be bits in the engine!

Or new engine at 6k

Garages tell me this is common for fords. How can ford not sort this out. So got a car now I can not sell as oil pressure warning on. If I can turn this off will trade it in and run away

In the words of John McEnroe "You can not be serious !!"

..... and actually the failure of the oil pump belt on a Focus Mk4 is not a common problem.

I guess the garages are referring to the earlier version of the engine, but it's weird how it's occurred 72 years before the car is registered.😀

Yes, I did notice it was a "96" reg 🤣 but I thought he may not want to wait that long to get it fixed 😉

Should have also pointed out that there is no need to disable the warning, they just need to keep driving the car for another 20 to 30 miles and the engine will be scrap.

It is becoming more common on the Facebook groups.  Though oddly very few on here.  Perhaps a different type of driver over there?  Or maybe just a larger audience...
